TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WFA’S COURSES
1. Registration
Registration is on a first come first served basis.
Registration is only confirmed upon payment. No reservation of seats is allowed.
For WFA registrations, required documents must be submitted to complete the registration. Participants are to provide all information required in regards to registration, and that this information is accurate, complete and current. Participants are to promptly maintain and update said information as to ensure its accuracy at all times.
2. Payment Terms
All fees must be received prior to attending the course.
Payment by cheque to be made in the favour of "Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd"
In a credit/debit card transaction, participants must use their own credit/debit card. WFA and its associated / affiliated businesses will not be liable for any credit/debit card fraud. The liability for any fraudulent use of a credit/debit card will be on the user and the duty to prove otherwise shall be exclusively on the user.
When purchasing a course, participant agrees to pay the then-current applicable course fee listed on the site. Course fees are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities, and participants are responsible for payment of all such taxes, levies or duties.
3. Withdrawal and Refund Policy
All withdrawal and refund request must be made in writing. All requests will be subjected to approval.
Course fees paid to Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd are refundable subject to the following conditions:
Written Notice of Withdrawal is received
- 7 days prior to commencement of the course: 100% of course fees
- 3 - 6 working days prior to commencement of the course: 50% of course fees
- 2 or less days prior to the course commencement date: No refund
Refund will be made within 30 days from the date of approved refund.
For cases that applied for funding, refund will be made within 4 to 6 weeks upon internal approval.
Registered participant who does not show up for course with no prior notice will be considered as "Withdrawal without notice" and Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd reserves the right to charge a penalty of 100% of the course fee.
4. Rescheduling of Course
Course rescheduling must be made in writing to Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd and the written notice must be submitted at least 7 working days prior to course commencement.
Rescheduled course dates are subjected to availability of seats.
5. Replacement of Participant
Participant may nominate a replacement by notifying Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd in writing at least 7 working days prior to the commencement date of the course. Wong Fong Academy reserves the right to reject such request that was notified less than 7 working days.
6. Re-attempt of Course’s Test
Participants that took selective courses are eligible for one re-assessment, should they not managed to pass for the first time. The courses are as such:
WSQ-AWSH in Construction Sites (CSOC)
WSQ-AWSH in Metalwork (MSOC)
WSQ-Operate Forklift
WSQ-Operate Scissor Lift
WSQ-Operate Boom Lift
WSQ-Operate Vertical Personnel Platform
WSQ-Performing Rigger and Signalman Task
WSQ-Operate Lorry Crane
WSQ-Supervise Safe Lifting Operation (Lifting Supervisor)
WSQ-Supervise Construction Work for WSH (BCSS)
If the participant failed for the second round, a re-course fee will be imposed in case that they wish to pursue the license or certificate.
7. Certificate of Participation
Certificate of Participation will only be awarded to participants who attended the full event.
Participants are required to sign in and out of the activity. Wong Fong Academy reserves the right to reject participants who are late for their classes.
8. Re-print Fee of License Card/Certificate
In events of lost or damaged license card/certificate, a re-print fee of $37.45 (inclusive of GST) will be imposed.
9. Amendments to course
Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd reserves the right to change or modify the training syllabus/dates/venues/lecturers for the course in general as and when it considers appropriate or when the circumstances require.
The participant will be informed without delay about any change or cancellation. Wong Fong Academy may offer an alternative date, in which case the registration may be changed to the new date. If no substitute event is offered and if no rescheduling of the training event is possible after cancellation of the originally scheduled training event for the above reasons, full refund will be made. Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd shall not be liable and the customer shall have no right to claim for indemnification of expenses (e.g. for travel or transportation costs) or damages incurred by customer in connection with a justified change or cancellation by Wong Fong Academy Ptd Ltd
10. Termination
Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd reserve the right to terminate the services or part thereof, with or without cause at any time. We shall not be liable for any damages, losses, cost or expenses caused by arising out of termination of any part of the services, to you or any other individual.
This termination may apply to the voiding of the sale of all products on the Site, regardless of whether payment has been made (in which case the payment shall be refunded to the customer or the issue resolved on a case-by-case basis).
The cancelling, blocking or denying of a purchase can be effectuated in the event of suspected fraud, hacking or technical complications. It may also include unacceptable behaviour exhibited by trainees such as drunken stupor, violence and sexual harassment.
11. Copyright
It is acknowledged that all course material, program material or copies remain as the sole property of Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd
The course materials may not be reproduced or utilized for unauthorized purposes, nor forwarded nor disclosed to third parties without Wong Fong Academy' prior consent. If any software is made available during the training event, it may not be taken or removed from the training site, copied or otherwise made usable in any unauthorized manner.
Audio and/or video recordings of the lectures are strictly prohibited. Any recordings or copies made of course materials will be an infringement of copyright.
